What appears to be a towering shelf of forbidden knowledge is, in truth, a patient ambush predator.
The Bookshelf Mimic disguises itself as an overfilled library fixture, packed with scrolls, skulls, and ancient tomes. When revealed, the entire structure rears up, shelves splitting into a jagged maw as the creature strikes from above. Perfect for dramatic dungeon reveals, arcane libraries, and punishing the incurably curious.
A striking centrepiece miniature for fantasy RPGs, skirmish games, and narrative dioramas. Supplied unpainted and printed in high-resolution resin.
Some mimics lie in wait on the floor. This one looms.
The Mimic Bookshelf disguises itself as a tall, overburdened archive of forbidden knowledge — a narrow tower of sagging shelves packed with scrolls, skulls, and half-remembered secrets. Adventurers see a library fixture. Scholars see opportunity. What they do not see is the moment the shelf bends, the wood splits, and the entire structure rears up like a coiled serpent.
When revealed, the bookshelf mimic becomes a vertical nightmare. Its shelves gape into a jagged maw lined with splintered “teeth”, while a thick, muscular tongue lashes as the creature strikes from above. Decorative trim twists into living bone, carved scrollwork becomes grasping flesh, and the knowledge it hoards is revealed to be bait.
This model captures the mimic mid-reveal, frozen in the instant where disguise fails and hunger takes over. The pose gives a strong sense of height and motion, making it ideal as a dramatic centrepiece encounter or a sudden environmental betrayal in tight dungeon spaces.
Sculpted with exaggerated wood grain, warped shelves, and grotesque organic details, the Bookshelf Mimic is a gift to painters who enjoy blending materials — aged timber, arcane detritus, and unsettling flesh. Scrolls, skulls, and broken tomes are embedded throughout the piece, hinting at the creature’s long, patient feeding habits.
Perfect for fantasy RPGs, skirmish games, or narrative dioramas, this miniature works as a trap, an ambush predator, or a cursed guardian placed to punish the curious. It pairs especially well with wizard towers, arcane libraries, and ancient ruins where knowledge itself has learned to bite back.
Printed in high-resolution resin for crisp detail and supplied unpainted. Suitable for most fantasy tabletop scales and systems.

Resin Models
All of our models are manufactured to the highest standards using minimum 12K resolution UV reactive resins.
Our Process
Once printed all of our models are thoroughly washed using Iso-Propyl Alcohol to remove all uncured resins. After they have all had their little bath all supports are carefully removed and then put through a final curing process.
After final curing, the manufacturing process is complete. The models are then put through Quality Assurance.
Quality Assurance
All models go through a comprehensive quality assurance check. We are looking for any lost detail, poor printing, missing parts or damages. We also test fit multi-part models to ensure that all gaps are as minimal as possible, including how a base sits on the table.
During this process you may find there are small sanded points to ensure a good fit or for bases that they are level and flat.
Packaging and Shipping
We want to make sure your models arrive with you in the best possible condition. Where possible all parts are packaged in air tight bags and carefully wrapped in the most appropriately sized boxes.
Damages and Missing Parts
We have a no-quibble guarantee on all of our orders. We absolutely hate if there is anything wrong, so just get in touch, with photos of any damage and we will get the replacements out as soon as possible.
Please note. Resin models are not considered toys. 12+
